I am a comedian and ventriloquist with Cerebral Palsy and Autism. The name of my main act is ‘Elliot and McCow’. By the age of 18, I had worked in comedy clubs and open mic nights, presented ‘The Autistic Ventriloquist – Finding My Voice Twice’ at the Autism Show at the London Excel, and supported my ventriloquist hero, Steve Hewlett (Britain’s Got Talent finalist). I have organised my own fundraisers, raising money for several churches and community halls in Devon and Dorset.
During my school years, I was a comedy sports commentator, which I enjoyed a lot. I also took part in the school radio committee for the school’s online radio station VIBE. I was featured on many podcasts, co-presented live radio shows with fellow students, hosted my own comedy shows with McCow on air, lent my voice to several jingles, and wrote and presented ‘Thought For The Week’.
In August 2024, I was featured on the BBC South Today news programme about how ventriloquism has helped me with my Autism.
My voice was used in the song ‘Being Different Is How They Survive’ by Jim Birmingham.
I recently performed at the Comedy Store in London at the ‘King Gong’ open mic night.
